orca, if you have the budget, NVS wins hands down - absolutely no comparison. If you don't have the budget for NVS, then the Fusion setup is damn near as good as it gets for "automotive" grade speakers.

Let me put it this way: you WILL hear the Fusions behind the boat, but you WILL hear the NVS speakers for hundreds of yards (clearly I might add), at least!

Oh yea, and you WILL have the loudest sh*t at Sandy Beach (cove) if you get NVS.

orca, have you spoken to Duane? He can answer any questions you may have, and if you like he can get into all the techno-babble you can stand.

PM him - his user name is NVSAIRWARRIOR

I run a pair of the NVS 1010s.I power them with a PPI 4125 amp.500 watts rms If your rope was a 500 yards long you would still hear them as you would 70 ft back.clean sound.
I rode behind a friends boat that had the Fusions. They sounded great in the boat but lost allot at 65 ft.You could still hear them but not like the NVS.

orca, see the other thread you started for some info you may not have known.

Anyhow, you won't need anything but the NVS setup for the tower. In the boat is your own game although Duane can probably make a few recommendations (personally I dig the Polk DB series and JL subs).

Orca,

I second Chavez, I have the NVS speakers, powered by a Precision Power 4800 amp. It is by far the clearest and loudest tower speaker on the lake. When I hit Party Cove, people turn off their stereos (even the BIG BOATS) and hand their cd's to me. There is not a bigger compliment than that as to the quality of the NVS's.

Duane is a great person to do business with, you cannot go wrong and well worth the cost if it is within your budget.

Personally, I don't think you can compare the two because its like comparing a corvette to a farrari. Both sweet rides, but they are in diff leagues... as far as the types of speakers they are.

NVS - True Pro Audio

Fusions - car stereo speaks

The diff they boil down to is two fold. Money and performance.

If you want to hear super clear at 70' and WAAAAY beyond and have the $$, NVS is the gig. If you want to hear the music but just not super clear but want to get into a set of really nice speaks for under $900, then Fusions are the deal.
Fusions are the best I've heard in car stereo/coax style, so far. NVS will blow them away in a race though, like the Farrari to a Corvette.

Does any of this make sense?

oshensurfer - I second everything he just said.

The NVS stuff is the best out there. The Fusion is the best car audio based system on the market right now.
