What kind of board are you riding?
are your bindings centered in the board?
you don't have to lean forward very much to carve, try to turn without leaning so much.

BTW....Assuming you ride left foot forward
turning left = Heelside
turning right = Toeside

Hi,

Umm, it's hard to know without seeing it. Your front foot should be angled a bit towards the nose with your back foot angled a bit towards the tail. Sorry to say, but whatever you bought at Walmart is probably a piece of junk.

So does it have bindings?

hi pat, I have been wbing a few years, my problem is not enough air to do any nice grabs or 360s. I have read all the advice in mags and talked to people who pull inverts - though have never ridden with one. I dig hard and cut at the wake(old slalom skier) with a lot of speed, getting up to 5 feet air - but working hard for it and flying fast. I have been told to get "pop" you go slower, build speed and pull the rope downwward toward your waist as you stand tall, at the peak of the wake - propelling yourself upward. Do you use the tower and rope to pull yourself higher at all or is it all in how you hit the wake and "stand tall? The pros' seem to hit the wake casually to get great air. I have a v8 boat, tower fat sac byerly board and all the goodies - why can't i hang in the air? I do weigh about 210 but am in decent shape.

You should check out our trick tips at:

http://www.wakeboarder.com/tricks/tricks.phtml

There is a good tip on how to edge properly to get pop off the wake.
