|
|
I've been working on landing a back roll. I'm having some trouble under rotating though. I've tried about 5 times and seem to be getting a little bit closer each time, but the nose of my board seems to be the first thing to hit the water.
During the rotation should my body be extended like doing a cartwheel in the air and just let my pop rotate me, or should I try to tuck a bit to get more rotation? |

Load the tail at the top of the wake(rock back a bit), you are short cuz you are leaving early.
Keeping the handle in will also keep the rotation nice and consistent. _________________ PEACE

| Sweet, thanks for the advise. I'll let you know when I finally land one. |

Well I landed it this evening, sort of. I landed on the board at least, but washed out. I tried two more with the same end result.
At least I'm landing with the board under me. Now I just need to learn how to ride it out. |

| When you normally slide out is it more like overrotating now? If so when you spot your landing raise the handle a bit to stop the rotation |

| I don't think it's as much overrotating as it is spinning. If that makes sense. I seem to be landing with the board perpendicular to the boat and I'm not able to get on my edge and ride away. On my second attempt yesterday it almost felt like I landed blind, but everyone on the boat said it looked like i landed and then did a surface 180 as soon as i hit the water. |
