Fraternity/Sorority Life TV show (MTV)

Just wondering if any of you guys watch these shows. I think the Fraternity one will be interesting to see what they will get away with on TV without losing their charter. I just wish they were not called Sigma Chi Omega-Me being a Sigma Chi alumni, many viewers could mistakenly associate my fraternity with this knockoff!

What happened to the hot girls? They lost the only cute one to grades before it even starts and did not give bids to the other hotties! Sad

The only thing abuot the last one that was interesting was the girls were hot and bitches, this time there all like "WERE UGLY AND LOVE BEING FRIENDS" and ofcourse MTV screws up again

I think they are all weak and no way portray the real deal. I'm a Sig Ep alumni, I certainly would be arrested and in jail if any of the stuff we did were filmed.

Are these real frats/sorietys or made up ones? I can't imagine anybody becoming truly tight. I still am tight w/lots of dudes in frat six years later, I always have somebody coming out to visit me or maybe it's because I live in a ski town and they have a free place to stay? J/K!

What's a house bitch? Are you a chick? Frats are different all over the place, at one college spe's can be cool and other total meatheads and tools. The nearest sSig Ep chapter to us was an hour away from us, they totally sucked and we had nothing to do w/them. We were the long hair, snowboarder, surfer, burnout dudes who threw the most badass parties at our school.

the frats are all gay here except mine. it's called Tappa Theta Assa. we dont have gay requirements to join. you just have to be cool.

Jay Dutton, Yeah-I seriously doubt any major fraternities would allow a chapter to be filmed for fear of lawsuits, etc.

Most of my best friends are fraternity brothers, a bunch of us just went to Fresno this weekend for an engagement. If you know Fresno then you know how much of a commitment that is. Mr. Green

Aubs, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. You might check out rush just to see if it's a scene that you'd enjoy, but it's not for everybody.

Truth be told, I never woulda thought to join a fraternity but one of the guys I met my freshman year was in AGO & he was totally cool so when he invited me to rush I figured I'd give it a shot. It's something that I totally grew into & loved. Like I said, most of my best friends are my fraternity brothers.

Bottom line, I'd say check it out just 'cuz I think you should try to see as many different things in life as possible, but don't force yourself to do it. If it don't feel right then don't stick with it.

haha, I caught a bit of the sorority one the other night....I thought, a house full of college girls..how bad can it be?
Pretty lame and no hotties.
I had to ask Mel if that's how a sorority really is, just mad drama....she said 'yep, pretty much...that's why I got out after 2 years.' Cool

Aubs - all depends on what school you go to as well. At my school Greeks were a BIG part of campus life....at other schools the whole Greek system sucks. The small liberal arts schools that are all over the East Coast have little Greek presence. Any idea what schools you are interested in? Aren't you only a soph? junior?

Ok Soroity Life is stuipd cause all of the girls are damn ugly and the homosexual factor of Frat Life went up cause they were all walking around drinking Pepsi, those shows don't portray reality.
