i have a canoe and a crap load of foam that would be great for a nice little ghetto slider/kicker. I was just wondering if anybody knew if sliding the canoe would cause any damage to the canoe. Because i really dont want to damage my nice little canoe. Thanks.

I wouldn't do it if you are worried about your canoe.

yeah they work pretty good just put some flotation underneath it and your good to go you might even be able to put two tubes on each side and tow it behind your boat and slider it.

Wakeboarder_360, I use a windsurfer on top of two tubes and the tubes seem to be fine. I dont think the tubes take too much punishment considering the speed your on and off of them. Also, it is TWO tubes obsorbing the weight of one person. Those tubes are built to take the weight of one or two people each. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

i slide my canoe from time to time.....just throw a tube under each side and anchor it down. works pretty good except for the shortness of it. i think if you go to the slider plans section on the main page there is a picture of someone hitting one
