I weigh 200lbs
What do I need to do extra to jump wake to wake, I just seem to carve through it. I try flattening the board and stiffining up, but it just pushes through.
Does the boat need to be faster to compensate my weight
Should the board be longer, (what length should I ride) I am 5',11"
Appreciate any help |

| you dont need to do anything different. you want a 140 cm and bigger board. but yu could probably do a w2w on pretty much any board. you dont want to flatten the board stay on edge all the way through the wake and stand tall st the peak so you dont absorb the pop. try picking up a copy of delta sessions jason buffalow is a pretty big guy and still rips on a wakeboard. |

Progressive edge into the wake, and hold it. Once you try and flatten out the board, you loose all that energy/speed built up....My friend weighs 220, is on a 143, and is damn near clearing the wake.....Just keep at it...And edge hard!

| 200 isn't all that big as long as your board is long enough. My buddy is 6'1" and is 275 - he rides a Moitive (143?) and seems to do just fine. What kind of boat are you behind, what's the speed and line length? Don't flatten, just hold your edge and stand tall (sounds easy, right?). |

| There's a guy on the Delta Sessions video (can't remember his name) that must be at least 250 to 275 lbs and that guy was doing backrolls, tantrums and some pretty big w2w spins and stuff like that. It's all technique. |

| I'm over 200 too and I can tell You that riding at a little bit faster boat (22+) speed won't help You clear the wake but it makes it much easer to ride longer. |

I'm 250 and ride a Trip 143 and clear HS W2W. I'm still a beginner and found that speed has a lot to do with getting across. Heal side is easier than toe side and just make sure you don't try to jump, if you hold your edge your board should give you enough pop to get across.
Good Luck, Greg |

i also suggest getting a 140+ cm board. also you could speed up the boat to harden the water. (falls will hurt a lot worse so...) _________________ show_boy08 |

I'm 215 and about 5'10" and I used to ride a 143 and have now moved to a 140 it is all in timing and technique and not boat speed. _________________ why buy fat sacs when you can bring fats chicks |
