| Does anyone know of this brand? I'm getting one from my grandfather with a bunch of lences, but I have never heard of Pentax and know nothing of them. o if you know anything, feel free to tell me what you know. Thanks |

My Grandfather(s) both had Pentax cameras too! They must have been pretty good back in the good old days. They're still around although not at the level of Canon or Nikon. If you don't mind shooting film you'll probably be getting a good setup.

My Mom gave this camera to me. Good quality and the optics are in great condition. I am slowly learning how to take pictures and this is a good camera to learn about all the various aspects.
Click here to read some reviews on this camera. Everyone I have talked to agrees that this is a high quality camera.

about 10 to 15 years ago pentax was the S@#$ its a goos camera i woundt get rid of it

Nor*Cal, that's the camera I used in high school, my parents still have it but broke one of the lenses.
I loved that camera, I swear I could shoot better with that then the pos lower model cannon I have now

Probably not much automatic stuff on that model, you'll have to learn photography!
I love that shoulder strap too - that is classic!
