|
|
It became a severe pain in the behind to have to step over fat sacs strewn across my direct drive boat. Therefore, I decided to do something about it.
Here are some pics of the boxes I made to cover up the sacs. They are strong enough to sit on and stand on. The stern box adds a whole new demension to the boat. Not only does it cover the sac, but it makes a nice sun deck as well. I made and carpeted all of the boxes myself. A buddy of mine made the stern cushion for $80. What a deal!

More pics:
The first two are before pictures and the last one is a look inside the box. The stern box holds a 550 lb fat boy and the two side boxes hold 250 lb fat buddies.

Wait a minute there Mr. agfan12....... I just read your signature where you say you'll pay for beverages of my choice. Where were the frosty beverages last night???? (just kidding)
Thanks for the props! Thanks again for making the long drive to Lewisville. We shall do it again.

Dude,
That's exactly what me and a friend were talking about last night, good job. One other idea I had was to make low profile plastic tanks that would still allow you to have room for gear. However that would get expensive. Anyway nice job.

I just wanted to say that looks great. Thought about it before but we could of never came up with such a good design. The Stern cushion looks great.

| impressive work. So do people sit on the backseat or what? it looks like if they did they would just fall in the water.

Yeah, I think if they were sitting back there while under way they might tumble. I thought about adding some handles back there to hold on to, but I didn't want to make my boat look any more getto than it already is. So far when under way my passengers have just sat on the side sac boxes. Seems to work out okay so far.
And to Mr. Agfan12.....Now that I am grabbing my balls again and am getting my pop back, watch out! The 3 will be mine before the summer is out and you will be buying me a 12 pack!
