I have a SearRay 180 BR, it's 18 ft and it has no wake as you can see in my profile pic. I'm not complaining too much because it's soooooo much better than the 35 hp I had in 2001. This summer i'm prolly gonna add some sand as ballast.

I rode behind a 17' bayliner with an outboard, and a 19 foot with a 3.0 four banger. This year I am stepping up to my "new" 1987 ski nautique 2001! Can't wait to ride with a real wake!

We have a 1989 17'6 Hallet ski boat with a 351 Clevo....which is an awesome ski boat (does 90 kph (55 mph) no worries) but the wake is worse than pathetic for wakeboarding! Still, it's not to bad because i'm starting to wakeskate alot more and my mate has just bought an airchair.

We have an 88 American Skier, it has a little wake at wakeboard speed. Its only 19feet and everyone loves the ski wake it throws, but for wakeboarding it sucks. We are putting some ballast in it this summer tho and next year we are getting a Air Nautique, hopefully!

Tantrum 2 Faceplant

I have a Hallet boat with a 350 CHEV exact same hull as yours, but all black with gold flake, it throws an absolute monster of a wake with two people in it.

does water ever come over the back of yours when u stop dramatically?

TIPS ON BETTER WAKE:

add 1000lbs of sacs on the back seat, a full tank of juice, driver, observer a 500lb sac in the nose to even it out and go for it!!!!

Thanks Turk. My father bought it new in 1966. Less than 110 hrs on it. We just take it out 2-3 times a year to tool around for the parents. It still has the plastic on the inside interior panels from when it was new in 66.

If you come up to Indy give me a yell.

New Moomba to wake on.

Thanks fellas.... as i said, it's a nice boat and all but throws a poor wake.

Hazza- yeah, water always come over the transom if you're not careful. We all are used to it but when someone unfamilliar with the boat drives it, the bilge pump gets a workout. As for the fat sacks, we just use people... probably not as much wait, but sacs don't give you fuel money!

Hazza - The water comes in over the back of our boat when you stop!

Hell, It has come over the back just from having 3 people in the back of the boat!

we've got a '99 mariah 182. It's nice for an I/O, but the wake is crappy for boarding. We load it up with weight, and it is still pretty soft and small. Can't wait to get a new boat!
