Hey girls!
Just wanted to share some excitement.
My friend Laura who I met doing her hair a few years back started wakeboarding about 2 months after I did last summer.
She is at a local wakeboard camp this week. I told her that I was coming out to watch her thursday or friday and wanted to see a surface 180 and a nice w2w attempt...(ya know, keep her on her toes)  well, I surprised her and popped in on Tuesday and she SURPRISEd me and did a surface 180 and rode switch and then 180'd back around!!
then today I get a message on my voice mail while I am finishing working and it was Laura...she did her first w2w!!!!  she said she landed it but let go of the rope...(the fear of the unknown) but did it several times and was landing just outside the other wake!
I am so excited for her and wanted to share. she has progressed so much in one week..I can't wait to see her ride tomorrow..(I'm gonna do a 'pop in') and hopefully get some pix of her!
anyway,,she is not a 'wakeboarder.com' user ...but I tell her about all you girls and your kool videos, pictures and progress...so I just wanted to share!
pics of her and I riding on last weekend...
Look at the STOOPID faces I make in my pix..she looks cute! I look like a special needs kid!

That is awesome!!!! I remember when I first cleared the wake. I never thought it would happen.
Now I really really want to go to wakeboaridng camp.

| That's exciting! It makes me want to go back to camp, I learned so much there and it was sooooo much fun behind a real wakeboat instead of my baby Brendella wake. Although I did finally manage to clear the wake behind it without any ballast! |

Yeah I wanna go to camp too. That won't be in the budget for a long time tho with us just getting the new boat/tower, my whole new setup and the hubby's new wakeskate...I keep thinking oh yeah after I get that I'll be set for awhile but the wants just never end. Why does this sport have to be so addicting and expensive at the same time?

I know, x phil..I spend SOOOO much money wakeboarding! but its SO worth it.
I can be having the worst day and not want to do Jack and go wake and I forget all my worries.
