| How exactly do you do a backroll. I went out the other day to try one but i couldent get my self to do it. im not scared and my head went the right way but i just could not get the boad to go over my head. Ive watched people do them before and they look so easy. I dont know what im doing wrong.

I initiate it by turning on my edge as soon as I get to the swell, and just let the board lift straight up off the wake, below is a pretty good position to be in...
Keep the handle at your hips and hold on tight, DONT let go or let the handle away from you. Look over your lead shoulder as soon as you get inverted, spot your landing and just follow it down. If you stargaze or look back over your rear shoulder, your rotation will turn to crap.

| Basically i ride up the wake, and once i get to the wake i start flipping. You dont really need to make the rotation, it is natural if you go completely up the wake. Keep the rope in tight, and look over front shoulder, like Jim M said.
