i just started wakeboarding last year and totally fell in love!!! this summer i was hoping to go at least twice a week and now it's the middle of june and i've only been out three times.

problem is that the guys i go with always cancel on me. my friend who has the boat is always willing to go and so am i....it's just the other ones that tell me almost every day that we're going to go and then it's like something always comes up.

i try to invite other people along but no one is ever available or doesn't want to go. our season is so short here that i'm beginning to get really irritated and i've changed other plans so many times with the hopes of going only to be disappointed. anyone else have to deal with this??? Mad

I joined a new club this year and started going out in April. Paid $128 to joint then it is $265 for a card which is 11 x 15 minute sessions. I have used two cards already. Have been going out about 3-4 times a week. I wish I had a boat! Sad

Yeah, it can be frustrating when you have people who always seem to let you down. I've been through this many times, where I've been invited, but then something happens and there's suddenly no room in the boat for me, and instead there are a bunch of people in the boat just watching everybody else board, but the not actually boarding. Not very fun.

girl, i feel ya. I get cancelled on ALL the time. I really like riding with people that are better than me because i'm a competitive person and it helps me progress....BUT they seem to have different priorities this season Rolling Eyes .... I always make fun of them and tell them how uncommitted to the sport they are and then they start going out again.

Then right as the season was starting i got into a fight with the guy that was teaching me and taking me out. Now i have no ride, everytime I try and plan to go out with people they always end up being a no show or something. I feel ya girl it sucks

I totally know where you're comin from, last year i went out 4-5 times a week, this year i've been out 2 times, because the guys i ride with always bail, or have too many other guys, who only sit there and drink, in the boat. Luckily I've starting meeting some new people to ride with. Start hookin up with people from here there are always people willing to pull, ya just need to find 'em.

well i dragged my roomie out with me this afternoon and it was the best wakeboarding experience ever!!! i felt much less intimidated having a girl in the boat and really worked on those heelside w2w's. i also tried a CWB Pure and Torq bindings that we're demo-ing. the bindings were kind of tight but my feet never slipped and the board really stuck the landings and i got huge air (well for me at least) can't wait to get my roomie hooked on boarding too Laughing

I can't feel your pain. I married someone who loves to board as much as I do. We go out 3 times/week and on the weekends. It is really nice to have something in common w/ your husband. Laughing

I married a guy who loves to board too so that's me, him, and ? The problem we have sometimes is finding a third. It's hard to convince most of our friends who don't have the fever to get up at 4:30/5:00am for the good water. They just don't get it. It's funny too how I have no problems getting up at that time of day to get on the water...getting up an hour or so later for work is murder tho Smile

Haha, I know exactly what you mean. I usually wander into work around 8:30. Then someone said he'd keep me in mind to go out in the morning at 7, so now I'm getting up early everyday so that I get used to being up early. Too bad work doesn't motivating me that much. Speaking of work, I should get back to it.
