Is there anyway to take the foam top off the new SBG series skate by Hyperlite and lay grip tape down. I love the ride of the new Catalyst but love the feel of grip tape. What do you think? _________________ Jet skiers are gay |

just use a heat gun... it will melt the glue underneath the foam but do not overheat to the point of melting the foam layer... it's the way I would do it... |

not to be an ass, but if foam were slippery do you really think wakeskate companies would put it on their boards? i'm riding tape now, but when i was on a sbg deck, that foam was super tacky and sticky. no grip tape burn on the legs is nice too. |

Yeah but I love the traction on the Cassettes more than the Hyperlites. It gives you a more similar feel to skateboarding. But, yeah the burns they give do suck. _________________ Jet skiers are gay |

I have used both and I think that grip tape lets you have better feel. the foam will hide any board chatter when landing or riding in ruff water because the foam will absorb it where grip tape lets you feel everything that is going on under your feet |

I don't think I will buy a hyperlite until they offer a grip concave version. I don't want to spend an extra 30 bucks for something I don't want in the first place. |
