|
|
| We have been searching for a boat for like months now, and we finally found one. We originally were looking at the SN 2001's but we found a 1990 Sport Nautique with brand new engine (50 hrs.), new upholstery, tandem trailer. We got it for $11,000! I'm glad we finally got a boat and it's good we found a great deal on a great boat. Now, does anyone know the best way to weight a Sport??? |

| you might want to start out with a bigger sack in the rear storage, maybe 600-750 lb. and then a ski locker sack, 300-400 lbs, up front. If thats not big enough for you, put side sacks on either sides of the motor. I have my Mobius, which is the same layout as your boat, with just the front and rear ballast. It throws a great wake. |

I used to ride in an air the same hull as yours this is the way we weighted it.
Fat Sac on each side of engine cover. Fat Sac in ski locker. Tube Sac in rear locker.
Very nice wake. And if you don't opt for the tower go with a 6 ft. plyon. works great. _________________ Shane Cook

By the way, it comes with a tower also. I was thinking of putting a fat sack on each side of the engine, a 250 lb. sack in the locker and a 250 lb. sack up front. How would that do? I think we're gonna get new graphics as well.
You can see a pic of it here:

may need more upfront. maybe both 250 in the front and just move the ones on the side farther back. _________________ Shane Cook

What about a 3 sack setup:
fat sack on each side of the engine and fat sack up front? |
