Not bad, looks like he needs just a bit more air or quicker rotation to allow himself to land on his toes instead of his heels. Also, tell him to look for the shore he's heading toward when he comes around. If he looks down or at the boat he'll be more likely to fall back like that. _________________ Pat McCarthy |

it doesn't look like he's got enough height. The rotation and everything looks goodm he just doesn;t have enough time to get the last 180 around. That's my take...not that i can do an OA7...i wish i could _________________ UCSB Waterski Team |

| yeah, ill let him know, that wake isnt very big, normally they are closer but the looking at the shore thing i think is definately what he needs to do. i told him to take it about 2 feet into the flats so the board can stick rather than having the down curve there to slip him out. |

| Kyle, that's the next trick I want to learn. I tried one today off the doubleup, and did pretty much the same thing your friend did. I think the key is to spot the landing (looking to the shore) better and land edging on the toes. Also, it seems that going less off axis would make the setup for the landing on the last 180 easier. I'll try some more tomorrow and give you some more insight if possible. |
