A friend of mine just purchased this boat. Right now he has internal ballast in the back (he says it's 600lbs, I would say I think they come stock at 400lbs), then a fat-sack in the back trunk, about 500 in the front ski-locker and 400lbs under the play pen in the bow. The wake is really not nearly as nice as I think it could get. Just wondering if anyone else has this boat or an air/pro-air and could give some advice on the best weight distribution for this boat.
Thanks. |

| More weight in the back, those things respond well to heavy ass end weighting. I remember seeing a picture of Chase Heavener's Sport & all their sacks were in the back & side of the engine. |

04superair, what size waterbed matress are you talking about and where do you put it, folded up between the backseat and the engine?
I have a '92 which doesn't have a trunk. |

I've been behind an 01or 02 and a 98 everyone says weigh the h#$% out or the rear. These things love more weight in the rear for sure. IMO you have too much in the bow compared to the back. Just my opinion. Weighing the back end also make the wake more peaky so it will have more kick.

I have a 1990 and we weight it like this:
550 in the back
350 on each side of the engine
We usually just put people up front to balance things out a little but. So almost all of our weight is in the back. I know the 60/40 ratio is supposed to be the best but we love our wake how it is. |
