Hi all,

I most recently bought a BIG AIR Wakeboard by Wake Tech and was curious to know how strong this board was? I am very new to wakeboarding and only watched some movies and seen other people doing it but is this board very strong? Mostly what I am worried about is hitting a wake wrong or landing wrong and it snapping or breaking in half, is that a possibility?

Thanks all!

Welcome to the site and the sport! Glad to have you around.

Did you buy that board new? I think the Wake Tech Big Air is a pretty old board at this point design-wise, but as far as strength it's probably just as good as anything else out there. As a beginner, there is very little chance you'll break the board. It usually takes some serious, serious hang time to break today's wakeboards.

Bought it used off of Ebay. If you would like to take a look at it and offer any pointers I would appreciate it the link is http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3681849097

Ah well, yes, that board is VERY old. Nobody even makes surf-style shapes like that anymore. It'll be fun to mess around on for a while, but if you're going to get serious about the sport you'll need to get a newer board. I wouldn't worry too much about that one breaking though.
