I'm looking at a 2003 Gekko GTO-22 and looking for reviews on it. Unfortunately, being a lesser-known brand, they are difficult to come by. Do any of you have the boat, or maybe you've been behind one? If so, your help is greatly appreciated.

petey769, I owned 99 gtr-22 and just recently sold it. My wife is water skier and she cried the day we sold it. It was a solid boat with a outstanding wake. You really had to load it up good for a decent wakeboard wake but it got the job done.
If we didnt have a big family and friends that go out with us all the time and needed the V-drive we would have kept it. Also the customer support at the plant was 2nd to none those guys at Gekko were a pleasure to talk to and always made you feel #1. Hope that helped, and Good luck.
Jay

You would definately be happy with that boat. It doesn't throw the biggest wake out there because after all, it is a direct drive, but if you put a fat sac on each side of the motor box, the wake is not bad. The overall shape of the wake is great.

If you have ever been in a Malibu Response with weight in it and not using the wedge, the Gekko wake is the same size but the Gekko has a more ramped wake. Not as steep as the Malibu.

Overall handling and performance is second to none. You will have a blast driving that boat.

Good luck.
