|
|
| Does anybody have any recommendations on a good pylon for wake boarding. There are at least 20 different manufacturers out there and I want to know who has the better set up. I have a fish and ski boat and would need to install a base for the pylon. I would also like it to have a tow eye for water skiing as well. The brands I looked at include Fly High, Sky Jack and Joystick. Fly high has four support bars and a strap. They claim i't more supportive. Do I really need it though!! It also takes up more walk around room in the boat. Let me know what your recommendations are. |

jtalley, Skylon makes a great setup called the "Pod".
I had this setup and recommend it highly.
PS: It does have a lower tow eye for skiing. _________________

I'd they they all should be good. Big Air seems to be the best price. Check eBay for a great deal as lot's of people that get towers sell their pylons there. You can make one pretty easy as well, check out www.diyTower.com _________________ Founder of Monster Tower Wakeboard Towers

Two best: Fly High and Joystick, in my opinion. Fly High is better braced. JoyStick has the thickest metal. _________________ Original Boarder from 1983

I just sold a Mastercraft Prostar 205 (inboard), and have a standard, 2-piece Skylon pole for sale. Not sure that would fit your boat, but shoot me a PM if you're interested. I haven't even posted it yet.
It's for a standard, center-pylon ski boat, as far as I know, although the cable and strap that attaches to the bow is quite long, and would probably work mounting the pole closer to the back.
As for metal thickness, it's very thick aluminum, like 3/8" thick. |
