Hey everyone,
I have looked at all of the posts about scarecrows and i still can't really solve my problem. When i try the scarecrow i usually land on by butt or back, i think i get enough air and stuff, and i land outside the second wake. Is there like any way to speed up my rotation? I think im getting only about half of the 180. Does anyone know how i can fix my problems? Thanks.

Under rotation + landing out past the second wake = throwing the move too early and not standing tall at the wake.
I've had the same problem, it was hard for me to learn how to pop the scarecrow up instead of out. Here's how to fix it:
Drastically back off your edge at the wake and focus on pushing your hips forward as you are leaving the wake. It sounds weird, but take a look at vids of pros doing crow mobe 5s and other crow-type moves, they are actually leaning over their heels a bit at the wake to make sure they get that straight up pop. Also, right now I'm guessing you feel the pop of the wake in your feet, if you do this right, you will feel the pop more in your hips, which means you are going up higher, it's a cool feeling.
Wait as long as you can to start the rotation. It will feel weird, but you'll be surprised at the ease of the rotation and the time you have to spot your landing. Good luck! |

it defenitely sounds like you're throwing it too early. But you will also have a faster rotation if you keep the handle in tighter, and don;t let it out through the trick. Good luck...i love scarecrows...such a cool looking trick and pretty basic _________________ UCSB Waterski Team |

I landed it today, it was cool. First time i tried it i landed. It was really sketchy though. Any tips on how i can get it not so sketchy? Or do i just need to keep practicing untill i get more air on it?
Thanks |

| Good job man. Now that you've got it, just keep waiting longer and standing taller at the wake. You should notice the difference. |
