Based on the ass whipping that the Pistons put on the Lakers,
I submit the following theory.

It is apparent after review of Game 2 that the Pistons intentionally
threw the game to insure 3 home games in the series. In the final minute
of play the Pistons had two opportunities to put Shaq on the line. Instead and the second to last possesion Ben Wallace put a touch foul on Shaq allowing a three point play. ( futher film analysis will be done to determine
if NBA officals were in on the conspiracy). On the subsequent inbound the
Pistons chose not to foul Shaq who handled the inbound but give Kobe an open look at at three. Anyone who watched the Pistons play in overtime
must agree that they were throwing the game. I call on Ralph Nader to lead a grass roots effort to investigate these issues

I would disagree, if anything I feel the Pistons would have wanted to win that game because it would allow them one loss at home rather than have to sweep the three at home. Were bad plays made, sure, but there are bad plays throughout all the games. Just my .02
