Ok I did a search but coouldn't find anything. How do you measure fins like from bottom to top or what ?and what size fins would be good on a homemade skate.I want to be able to do surface spins but not slip out on airs.

I'd recommend using 1in. fins, with a relatively short base (less than 5in.).

That is, the depth of the fin is 1in., and the length is less than 5in.

liquidforce519, i just thought you were maybe making them or something weird like that, but if the old board was a wakeskate, or even a wakeboard, then it should work fine, how big are the fins on the other board then?

liquidforce519,
If you don't need the fins from the other board you could use those and probably cut them down and them to size you want. A lot of our customers that are wakeskaters have been buying our Colling Wright 1.0" fin. If you have some old fins you could go to our website and check out the shape for an idea. If you have any questions about fins feel free to email me. We have definitely done alot of homework on the subject.
