| Any body tow their ski boats behind a pontoon? Looking into it as a cheaper alternative to renting houseboats since we are on the water so much...just curious as to if it will tow well. |

so you plan to sleep on the rental pontoon boat? You should be able to tow a ski boat with it unless it only has 9.9hp, then you're screwed. You'll be travelling at 5 mph and you might as well use the ski boat to tow the pontoon or sleep on the ski boat. Or rent a cabin on shore. _________________ "Do not be alarmed, Continue swimming Naked!" - Chief Wiggum |

| Naw, we were looking into possibly just buying a used one, just something for us to sleep out on every once and a while. We have seen some larger ones around with net/bimini-material walls to designate the interior from the exterior. Just curious to how much hp we would need to tow the boat up river, around the lake at night etc... |

Other than windage, there's minimal drag on a ski/wakeboard boat hull so the excess hp over and above what you need to move the pontoon will be small.
There'll just be the usual problem of keeping them separated when changing speed/course. _________________ Jeff |
