Hey all,
I'm pricing out adding a snap in bow and tonneau cover to my wakesetter. Anybody else had this done? What did it cost you? _________________ I walk 47 miles of barb wire, I got a cobra snake for a necktie, a brand new house up on the road side, and it's made out of rattlesnake hide |

Should run about $700 for the complete set. That's with Sunbrella coverage. Many auto upholstery shops do this kind of work as well as awning shops.
Luck to ya.
Or, if, God forbid, you have a decent sewing machine, you could do it yourself for around $300. _________________ I'm hung like Einstein,

Hey, thanks Legge. Nice to have you around.
I would be too nervous installing the snaps myself.
I got 4 pull up cleats for my birthday yesterday. I'm terrified of drillinging into my boat, but I guess I'll have to go it..................... _________________ I walk 47 miles of barb wire, I got a cobra snake for a necktie, a brand new house up on the road side, and it's made out of rattlesnake hide |

New boats are a bitch CB!
The snaps are actually the easy part, getting the seams to last a few years without tearing is the problem. You have to make a double seam for strenght. Check awning and auto upholstery shops. If you were local, I'd have a few for you.
( Drill slow and you won't have any trouble. Reverse drill a chamfer so you don't get spider cracks ).
Have fun. _________________ I'm hung like Einstein,

It's not even new! Just new to me. I am nervous about doing this, as no matter how straight I get that cleat, I will always look at it and think I installed it crooked. Oh well, at least I know my neurosis. _________________ I walk 47 miles of barb wire, I got a cobra snake for a necktie, a brand new house up on the road side, and it's made out of rattlesnake hide |

Dont' worry about it CB. That's why Marine Mechs started the colored caulk fad. Enough caulk, matching the boat color, works wonders!
As long as it's solid, that's all that counts _________________ I'm hung like Einstein,

cameraboy, Look for a tarp maker. We have one in town here, and he does excellent work. I'm getting a new boat cover made that will fit around my tower legs for 500$. _________________
