wake152, Yeah bro-very easy! Just hard to get it under 6kb and to not to forget to make a transparent background like mine!

wake152, Nah-it really is not anything technical. Just a matter of practice and getting to know your software. I just trace pics(render), cut them, paste as new image(with transparent Background). Zoom in and clean it up with erase tool! I save it in an advance image format so that I can keep a transparent background-usually .psd. Just open it up in a basic gif animator program and input the size parameters for this site. Set the timing and add text as necessary. There are tons of different ways to do it.

What's up with the 6 kb limit? I have some avatars that I really like that I either found or made that are 7-8 kb and I can't use them because of that stupid limitation. Crying or Very sad

Jello John, You can decrease the size just by decreasing some of the colors. Take it down to 256 and work it down until you are under.

They're animation though. Can you decrease the colors of that?

Jello John, Yeah-it's called optimization in the GIF program you use. Or, you can open it up in an image editing program and reduce the colors.

hey turk i believe u did have a transparent background on them...but whenever i saved it and edited it it became a white background and i dunno how 2 make em transparent

o no i mean for AIM..I would never use an icon that in here that someone else made. i dunno i guess id feel weird sporting something that someone might think i made when i didn't thats just a weird thing i feel..
