I just ordered the wakeboard pro setup for my 2001 X-Star and I'm still waiting for it to come in. I just looked for an obvious spot to mount the paddlewheel and i can't figure out where it is supposed to go. I'd guess it should go to the passenger side of the drain plug but the gas tank is in the way. XStar guys who have PP, where does it go? Pics would be extremely helpful.

X-Scott

Pretty sure the instructions that come with the PP will show exactly where to put it. I had to download them since we got our x-star to try to fix it, and i remember seeing pictures of the placement.

www.perfectpass.com i think is the address, pretty sure they show some pictures in the help files

The instructions will tell you exactly where to put it. Not to diss on anyone, but why do people ask questions here that are obviously better answered by a professional or the manufacturer? Is someone really going to drill a hole in the bottom of their boat based on what I tell them over the internet instead of what the manufacturer suggests? Just asking a general question. Nothing personal xscott.

I have an X9 and the wheel is up next to the fins. If you would like I can take some photos tomorrow. Might help.

I guess i made myself unclear...
I'm asking this question bc i am anxious about installing the paddlewheel and the instructions on the website are not boat-specific. Like I said, I will receive the specific instructions and parts soon, but i'd just like to know ahead of time. All i'm getting are responses like
1. check the website (which i've already done),
2. its somwhere near the fins (ya thinkI!!? genius!) and
3. why are you asking us?

this leads me to an even better question, why the heck do some of these dummies reply if they know their information won't be helpful in the least?

Mine is located about half way between the fins and the driveshaft on the passenger side.
