I ride behind a 2003 SAN limited. When we got it weighed down well it is more of a pig then any other boat I ride behind. The RPMs stay very LOW, too low. I suspect that maybe since it was a the 1st 2003 the dealer got in maybe the prop is the wrong size. What size is the standard prop for the 2003 SAN, did they change it for 2004.

The boat is on a lift and I plan on swimming under there this weekend and finding out what size prop/pitch it is.

Why don't you ask Nautique directly?

IMO, if you are really weighting your boat alot you need to get a different prop. Call ACME, they are the best. The wrong prop can blow an engine after awhile. Your engine is meant to operate in a certain power band of rpm's, you need a prop that will get your boat in this range when you have your normal riding weight in the boat. The stock prop may or may not be adequate. The prop is like the gears in a car. You turn overdrive off when towing right? That's a lower gear, so goes to figure that you need a lower gear/prop with extra wt. in boat.
