I would like to install a water pump that can be operated by a swith that will fill and drain my fat sac, problem is i have an I/O and cant really find the right jabsco pump from west marine, I could always call them in the morning, but Im anxious tonight!!!,

any one know of one?

I was thinking i am going to drill a hole in the transom, with a screen on it, and on the inside i will run a hose up to the pump, and then out to my fat sac..

any halp is appriciated, all smart asses can kiss it!!!

Hey cstmgsxr,

I don't have model numbers, but if you search around, they're listed - you basically have two choices - Simer or Jabsco, Jabsco being the nicer of the two. They are both reversible meaning you can fill and drain with one pump and one hose (I'd vent/overflow protect mine as well but that doesn't require a pump)

Personally I'd place my intake in the bottom using a bronze thru-hull with a strainer, prolly 3/4" and a 1/4 turn ball-valve. Recent discussions on ballast systems have resulted in some very good installs by some very smart folks, SEARCH and you will find...

Part number 18220-1121 (or 1123 if fitted with a fuel resistant nitrile impeller). They used to be available from www.wakeboardboats.com but their site says they are no longer accepting orders.

You could try a distributor of Jabsco pumps. There's a list available on the ITT/Jabsco website www.jabsco.com (page adress http://www.jabsco.com/asp/startDealerSearch.asp )
