| my dad is looking into purchising a v drive wakeboard boat and i want to know the difference bewteen the wakes. I like a rampy wake with a very nice kick. Also how much ballast do the new x-2s have in them. |

| Rumor has it there will be an all new vlx out starting in July so you may want to wait for that. I have not been behind an x-2, but the vlx is known for a rampy wake with good kick, although the wedge makes it a little more vert, and if you throw about an extra 800-1000 pounds in the boat it really makes the wake great. |

cojo, try a search. I think this issue may have been raised previously. Also, why don't you do some research on MC to find out how much they have. I assume they have different options. Lazy.
I ride alot with the Bu dealer here, he is supposed to have the 05 in July. So, that rumor shoud be true. I understand all 04's are gone now. _________________ Check out https://www.facebook.com/darcizzleoffshore |

yeha,
i'm looking at boats too right now. Check out the moombas. You can load the MOOMBA LSV (v-drive boat) up with every conceivable option, and still have money left over for maintenance, new board, and primarily gas. What i'm learning also is that the wakeplate makes a huge difference.
Good Luck with the search _________________ Lookin for a pull... www.xxxwake.com |

| ridewake, and with that money saved he can spend that and more on all the repairs he'll be making after the waranty is up. You get what you pay for when it comes to moomba. I have a buddy who got a new LSV last summer and has had it in the shop more than he's ridden behind it. |

Personnally I would go for a Super Air Nautique TE, nothing compares! _________________ Don't take life too serious, you will never escape it alive anyway! - Author Unknown |

| I agree, if you are going to spend that kind of money on a MasterCraft or a Malibu, you gotta consider the Natutique 210. I went out on one last week and the wakes are perfection. May have to switch my screen name to Nautique Man next year!!!!! |

The 210's, especially the Team Editions are going to run you a lot more than the high 40k Malibu or Mastercraft is gonna run you. I would still check them out though. Like agfan said, you get what you pay for. The 210 isn't going to give you a very rampy wake though, but a lot of kick. Go try it out, do some different weighting combos, and see if you like it better.
Calabria man, looking forward to seeing that. |

If weighted properly...
X-2 - steep, solid & big wake, really small interior
VLX - semi-steep, solid & big wake, roomy interior _________________ my demo reel

| If unweighted, or weighted with only stock ballast, no wedge, the VLX is going to have a rampy wake, not very vert at all, but the wedge will give it a little lip. The X-2 is probably the most comparable wake to the SAN. You can certainly MAKE an X-2 wake from a VLX though, but it is hard to get a vert wake any rampier... |

| These have been my 2 favorite boats based on everything I like in a boat. I now prefer th VLX since one of my friend got his 2004. More roomy then the X2 and I love the wake with the wedge and about 2100 lbs of ballast. I think if you really shop the dealer you can get them close to the same price, if not the maibu may be a couple buck cheaper. |
