I have been so proud of my dealer in Kelowna, BC (Dockside). I bought my boat late last summer. I washed and wet-vac'd it regulary so that by the end of the season, it looked as good as the day I drove it off the lot - brand spanky new.

I dropped the boat off in September and paid for indoor storage. I happened to drive by the place December 1st, and my boat was still in their lot! - after reaching lows of -20c. After I complained, they wisked it off to the warehouse for "indoor" storage. (That's 2 months of weathering so far).

Today I stopped by my dealer, and the boat was outside. I checked on the status of what work was left to do (install perfect pass, etc.) and went to look at the boat. The cover was partially undone, the rear seat was dirty and covered with mildew and the driver's seat was covered in mildew in the joints. They don't know when the boat was brought back from "indoor storage".

I only had the boat six weeks and babied it as often as I could - washing, vacuuming, and cleaning it. I was almost sick after seeing it in such poor condition. I wish I had left it on my driveway with a tarp over it - at least then I would occasionally check it and keep it clean.

I have been so proud of my dealer until now, but I was soooo freakin' dissapointed today....

I'm sure a good cleaning will make it bright and shiny as new, but when you pay the big bucks to baby it, you expect it to be pampered as you would pamper it.

I am going to take pics of it in the morning and write a letter to management.

_(%*@)(#$*@)(#%)@(#*)@(&$^)@*&)(%@(#(@#$)!*#_&+_)!!!!!!!!

Do they understand that when you spend $50k+ that it should be treated nicely????

I will post a follow-up when I see how they respond.

No one will take care of your baby like you take care of your baby--no matter how much you spend.

Ouch man, keep us posted. I'm in a simular situation with my boat. I made this big shelter for my boat. I put the boat in for service in october for afew (What I thought) minor things. Anyway the boat ended up staying on the dealer lot OUTSIDE all winter. They kept telling me that it was well taken care, everytime it would snow they would run out and brush it off etc. I went down there a couple times to find big puddles of ice and snow on my tarp. And ice all over the interior. Before I gave it to them I made sure there wasn't a drop of water in the boat and it was super clean.

I think I should be getting my boat back here in the next few days. (Yes it has been there since october!) It will be interesting to see what kind of condition it comes back in.

I received my boat today and Dockside did a pretty nice job or compensating me for the mistake. They replaced my boat cover which was water stained, and cleaned the boat and seats getting rid of all of the mildew stains. As a bonus, they repaired 3 scratches in the gel coat at the rear of the boat for free. I think this winter I will store the boat at my house so I can pamper it like it deserves.

How is it guys like this stay in business? Look at how much extra coin he had to throw at replacing your cover, cleaning the boat and fixing your gel coat. The problem is, there are dealerships like this everywhere. Unbelievable.

We have been keeping our boat there for about 15 years. They have been great for us.
