Just recently busted my MCL up. I was doing a back roll and dug the nose of the board in on my rotation. I think my front foot came out of my binding but my back foot stayed in a little longer. When the board twisted away from my it bent my back knee out sideways wich tore my ligaments.

My question is.. If I had had my bindings slacker would this have happened? Or is it just bad luck?

How does everyone else have their bindings?

I usually pull mine up real tight.

Peace Wink

It all depends on the fall you take. Sometimes my front foot slides out and the other still stays in but there are also times when they fall off completely. You want your bindings to be snug not to tight or not to loose. good luck on the recovery!

You always want your bindings snug, like wakeboarder 360 said, but if they are tight it might be a bit painful. Just keep them snug, because if they are loose you will probably end up throwing a foot out of a binding on a backroll or something

u want them as tight as possible ( well as they said "snug" ) if u think about it...u wouldnt of hurt ur knee if ur feet stayed in.

ya, but as tight as they are the water is really powerful and if it grabs your board and your still holding onto the rope you can easily get ripped out of them. I have the highback and put the straps pretty tight and If I take a hard crash they still get yanked. You can decrease your chances of this happening but not stop it.

I keep mine as tight as possible. I hate it when my board pops off on bails. i've had a couple incidents with the board hitting me, but nothing too serious.
