I saw some posts in the topic 'Belmont 131' about board size and I'm curious what board size everyone is riding and what experiences with it! There are so many different opinions about weight, length and board size... let's specify!

My length: 174 cm (that's 5,7 I guess) and weight 55 kg (121 lbs). I started (8 years ago) at a 134 but since 3 years I'm riding a 128 (Liquid Force Trip)... I like the agressive edging and the direct control. Only in rough water it's a little bit unstable when you don't edge enough...

I'm about 5'4" and 110 lbs. I ride a Dive 128. I've also riden the Belmont 131 which felt like a good length too. I'm sure there are people who would say the 128 is to small for me, but I like it. I also tried the Premier I think, 135 or 136, and it felt monsterous and I rode lousy on it. Also riden a CWB sol 135, also to big, and little edge control. I don't remember off hand what others I tried, but in general I seem to like the smaller boards.

I'm probably 5'3" and about 105lbs. I'm riding the 128 diva, which I've been told is too small for me, but I like it. I used to have the 135 search, but (1) it's more of a beginner board and (2) I think it was a little bit big for me. A 131 would probably be a good size.

I am 5'7 and about 130 lbs. I have last year's Premier 135 and I ride it without the fins because the board has molded fins on the bottom already. Without the fins, my board is pretty swirly. A lot of girls who try my board say it's too loose but I like having the freedom to slide around easily. I love my setup (also have the 02 Parks bindings).

Anyone try the 04 Premier? I am curious as to how it rides. I think the Erik Ruck board has the 02 and 03 Premier shape.

I'm 5'8" and about 135 lbs. I ride the old Premier shape (this year's ERA) 135. I really like my board, I too ride it without fins. At first I thought it was pretty swirly, but I'm used to it now and I wouldn't go back to riding with the fins.

I'm 5'4'' and 125 and I ride a 135 premier, my favorite board by far.

Today I ride the H Belmont 131, big difference with my trip 128. The 131 is far more easy to ride, more stable and less hard working... but it feels like you have a big truck at your feet Smile I still prefer my 128, but I'm sure I'm gonna look for a new one soon, a more advanced board for more easy edging (lazy! Smile)... any tips?

I'm 5'5, 125 lbs, and ride a Belmont 134. I LOVE it! My board feels like the perfect size for me. I've ridden several longer boards belonging to guys I ride with (a Byerly, the Murray, a Blindside, a Trip....) all of them at least 138-141 or larger. My first board was a LF Nectar.... hated it after riding my hubby's Murray board. When I got my Belmont, I couldn't believe the difference! Got sweet air on my first jump, the edging was awesome, and it just felt so much more controllable, and less heavy in the air. It also has the molded in fins like P-chick was referring to, but I've never taken off the nose and tail fins. I'll have to try that.

WakeDiva, I had a trip and I loooved it. It is a great all around board, for every level. Shane Bonifay used to ride it. Try it without the center fins a few times.

I am 5'4"-5" (?) and 120lbs. I used to have a trip 128, not I am on a prodigy 132, and soon to be on a subjekt 133. Everyone always told me the 128 was too small, but I loved it. You will adjust to a bigger board though. I personally like smaller boards. You can pretty much get away with riding up to a 136 (look at Dallas Friday). Its all really just a personal preferance. You just want a board that you won't sink compeltly, but can still sink the rail. When I went to TBS Shaun put me on the 138. He though it was fine, but it felt to big compared to what I was used too.

Good idea, I'm gonna try it without the center fins! Totally without won't work for me I think because we most of the time have quite havy water... Tomorrow I'm gonna try a LF Substance 134 our Dutch no.1 rider rides it this year and recommended it...

I ride a Ricky Gonzales (138 I think??). I'm old and I like softer landings.

I was scared at first. And trust me, it takes a set or two to get used to the feel but once you do, you will never want to put the fins back on your board. If you like sliding around, you'll have a blast. Plus, it helps to improve your balance significantly!!!

It does take a couple of sets to get used to the feeling. It will feel like you have no control, but you get used to it pretty fast. Yeah and like P-Chick said you won't want to put your fins back on!
