I am in the process of purchasing a 00' Centurion Eclipse, i am battleing with my partner, he is a skier, i like to board. i have heard this boat is mainly a ski boat, but it is a steal. Does anyone know if this boat will produce a respectable wake? Also, i am adding a tower to the boat, what tower does centurion install at the factory, or what towers should i think about? i am new to real boats, i have owned only stern drives before, any help would be great.

don't battle with your "partner" (I ain't gettin into none of that). You should lay the law down and buy what you want to buy. If he wants a pull, he'll either ride with you or not, it's that simple. You know as well as anyone else. Once someone starts to wakeboard, they are hooked.

Go to the Centurion website and take a look at their towers. If they don't have a very clear list, email them. If you don't like the factory towers or if they are not available for your boat, you should probably look into a Boss, Wake Designs, Titan or Pro Flight towers.

And Yes, you can board behind it. You can board behind anything as many have proven. As far as the wake size, there are plenty of things out there that can manipulate that. Check into a Fat-Sac.

The battle occurs when he is footin' half the price tag.

OH, then somewhere, someone's go to give. Since you are footing half, you deserve a tower and ballast.

How much weight would it take to give the boat a nice wake. I would like to keep the sacs hidden from view, is that possible in a boat like this? Does weight have to go in the back to aid the wake?

I had a 99. You will not be able to get a great wake with that boat. The only time I had a wake that was nice was with 3 sacks and a fat seat. I would deffinatly look for another boat if you are looking for a large wake. The boat itself was nice. It handeled great and plenty of power (350 MPI).

I am not sure about that model, but I have a 99 Air Warrior Centurion Elite (direct drive), I have a 750 in the back of the boat on an automatic pump switch that is hidden from view, 450 under the front seats hidden from view, and then when I don't have alot of people I put 500 in the center (two sacs). This hull can produce a pretty nice wake with little weight. You would be surprised.

Centurion has used several different tower manufactures. I believe the current
Tower is the Skylon swoop tower. I would recommend a fat seat in the back and a fat sac up front in the storage area.

My Eclipse has a Custom Tops and towers tower (they no longer build towers) on it check out the picture in my profile

Yea. Pro Flight makes a sick tower looks just like your custom one and collapses... SKylon swoop tower can be fit for centurions also, but the pro flight tower i chose because it was cheaper and better

I purchased the oo' centurion, and then i got a steal on a Skylon Tuna Tower, it was new last year, and i got it for like $500, will this tower fit with out modification? I should have checked it out, but i could not pass up such a good deal. I got a chance to ride Sunday in St. Louis behind the boat, it was 39 degrees, even in a dry suit i froze, but he wake was lacking, got to add some weight. Thanks for the info everyone.

It will fit without modifucation if it is the Tunna tower that is built for the Eclipse.

Have fun with the new boat

I believe it was built for a Malibu Sunsetter, I held the tower up against the Eclipse, and it appeared to hit correctly at all four points of the tower. Is this a bad idea, to make this fit?
