|

We're getting a new 2005 Regal 2200 Bowrider this friday and I'm so excited. My two brothers and I wakeboard heavily but my dad didn't want a wakeboard boat because "what would he use it for in 10 years?". so we're getting this boat and he agreed that we would put a wakeboard tower on it.
Here's a link to a pic of the boat (or you can go to www.regalboats.com) http://www.wasatchmarine.com/images/ul/blue_2200.jpg
Now that I think of it, on the side, what's a good universal tower. Keep in mind we're not looking for anything less that $1000 (we dont want ANYTHING cheap or cheap looking). I like the tower look that kind of swoops backwards also. I've been looking around too, just run out of sources.
Now to my point, where on the boat should we put the tower..how do you measure or determine the placement of it, and do you tell the person installing it this? Where should we get it installed at also? I REALLY dont want a NICE brand new boat with a crummy tower or a good tower in the rear of the boat or in a bad spot.
Thanks for your time and advice in advance. |

Since you have not spoken of the towers you have looked at, it is a littel difficult to help in your decision making.
Just because a tower is <$1000 doesn't mean it's crap either.
Installation - put it anywhere you want or where it looks good. I can't say I've seen to many Regal boats with towers on them, but then again, I don't have a propensity to look much at I/O's anymore. _________________ Visit my DIY Projects

In general the front bases will mount near the front of the windshield and the rear bases will mount near the rear of the shield. Forgot about where the towpoint is as that is much less important than you liking the way it looks (and folds down if the one you choose is not fixed)
Here is a link to every known tower builder and your bound to find one you like. _________________ Founder of Monster Tower Wakeboard Towers
