|
|
Hi There!
I live in NC and I just tried wakeboarding last weekend.
I love it ~ It it sooo much fun.
However I am a girl and I was using my friends board (a guy) and it seemed heavy and of corse my feet kept slippin out of the bindings. I am of corse gonna try it out more on his board, but I was wanting to get some advice on getting a starter board and bindings for a girl. And any advice for me on the water.
I got up but now what?
Thanks for your help,
Meowsy [/b] |

if you dont like how heavy it was try out a liquid force or gator boards board. almost anything else is lighter than hyperlite so if weight is a factor to you, dont go down that road _________________ LakeAnnaBuZZ.com |

| Meowsy, how tall are you? My sister just got a new Hyperlite and loves it. It depends on your height, weight, etc. Have you been to the Hyperlite website? |

| I just bought a Gator and it is super light. I love it, it was quite a bit lighter then the parks or something like that. Don't limit yourself to hyperlite, there are many many many great boards to choose from. How much are you looking to spend for a board and bindings total? |

I don't really wanna spend too much right away b/c I have no clue what I am doing right now. And I am sure I will want to buy a different board and stuff when I get better. So I mean as reasonable as possible.
We are going out tommorrow and I am gonna see if I can try sum boards out from one of the shops. Do you have any suggestions on what to try?
Thanks guys! |

| Liquid Force Trip, I got the 03 board and it rocks! It's 133, I am 5'4 and weigh a staggering 140 lbs. The guy in the shop should help you to decide what is right. the first board i bought had huge fins on and they were not releasing any that fit it till the year later so make sure you are happy before you buy. (I ended up selling it) |

I would definately recommend either the essence or the divine with spin bindings. i have also heard good things about the divine bindings too |

I suggest you try out the Trip 133 with Alpha bindings. We've never had a dissatisfied Trip customer over the years. It has excellent pop, and good tracking ability, but does let you release the fins from the water when you want to do surface spins. There's also a good package price on that equipment, too. Another one to try would be the Nemesis 131 with Evo bindings (or Alphas). Both of these boards will give you great performance at a good price. _________________ Mike Dick

| My girfriend is about the same as you... she had never boarded...I bought her the Blindside Flower and she loves it...its an excellent womens beginner board w/ a girly picture of a flower, you can find them for about $200, MSRP is something like 250, but use your good looks and skills to talk the weak sales guy down...they have give room on the prices. it was the most reasonably priced womens board I found while i was searching...i read alot of reviews and had her demo it and she liked it. |
