its probably been posted before(wasted 20 minutes on the search so i gave up) , but im trying to find out which boat would be best to buy, not a hyped up piece of crap like i have now.

is your boat reliable?
comfortable?
got a nice system?
throw a sick wake?

i have a 16 foot i/o right now and it sucks. dont ever buy canadian malibu models.

Come on now. If you did a search everyone told you it is personal preference btw the top boats. Go buy a mastercraft. Does that help? They are the best b/c that is what I have. Smile

it helps very much, and its not all personla pref. some boats have different features, one might have a seating arrangement that you think would be awesome but is a pain in the ass to work with. just small stuff like that, that you would never be able to find out about
and the mastercrafts are nice

I love our SANTE, but to get the nice, vert wake we wanted, we had to give up quite a bit of storage, and cabin space. Our neighbors have a Malibu LSV, and it is HUGE, but the wake, even with the wedge down isn't comparable to ours. It is much rampier and not quite as tall. It is semi-soft in comparison to ours as well with only stock ballast. The interior on the LSV is fantastic, my only complaint being the very thin vinyl on the seating. The VLX is a great boat, and I do love the wake, which is what I would say is between mine and the LSV's in rampyness/vertness. Tige has a nice product, and is a little cheaper than the SANTE and VLX which you would be comparing it to. The wake is awsome, especially on the 04's where they even further improved the hull which was reinnovated in 03. I have no complaints about the interior, and I think it is of very high quality. On my friends 22V, the tower rattled. I have only been in some older Supras (99's-00's V-Drives) but the cabins in them are very luxurious. I think they have the most comfy/practical cabin in their class. The wake wasn't quite up to par with the more modern boats I have ridden behind, but that is not fair to compare them to much newer boats, because I am sure they have made tons of improvements by now, and I have only heard good things about them. Mastercraft DOES get my vote for cosmetics, and interior, in my opinion up there with Supra, but we had a lot of problems with ours (gel coat peeling was a huge problem for us, and the ballast pumps often went out.) but I have been told many a time by now not to knock their product. I was, and would still be a huge fan for the X-2 if it wasn't for our bad experiences, and our dealer's service had a bit to do with that.

Since I now have a reputation for only pointing negative things out about MC, if you are interested in any certain boat that I listed, I can always ask my friends to tell me any problems that they have had with them. We have yet to have had a major problem with our SAN, minus a non-functioning stereo when we brought it home, but that was supposedly from faulty wiring, and the dealer took care of it right away, and threw in a new handle and rope for our time.

All opinions reguarding wake also have to be accepted as opinion. If you are a beginner, wake is something you do not really have to worry about.

Hope that helps a little bit,
Johnny Neutral

Its all personal preference. Just research and test drive the boats in the local dealers and stuff and look through old SAN, Malibu, MC, Tige, Supra, etc. threads.
