| they're new bindings and not many people have tried them. chill out. i dont think you can really go wrong with the ultras. so many people ride them and wouldnt ride any other bindings over them and the 04 look even better. as for the alphas they look like they are easier entry and exit with less side to side fles but that is just by looks i havent tried the yet. |

if i were to choose and had the money i would go with the ultras they look fairly easy to get in out of and they have been around for a couple of years so obviously they are good bindings are else they would have made a different product instead of those _________________ philocify for life- SAY FUNK IT AND HUCK IT |

Ultras are really hard to get into, but the good thing is that once you are in, you will not come out easily, so it makes the hard falls a lot better knowing that your feet are most likely going to stay in (that is my opinion though). Some people like it when you get ejected from your bindings, but not me. I think the Alphas are really similar to the old EVO bindings from LF, just with the new stuff for '04 _________________ If you do not like your job, you don't strike....You just go in there everyday and do it really half a$$ed.....Now that's the American way - Homer Simpson. |

Could the falls screw up your feet if your feet don't come out when you fall?

You are pretty safe as long as both your feet either stay in your come out. When you get hurt is when like one foot comes out....
About the Ultras and the Alphas... I have the '03 Ultras and i really like them. Mine are pretty hard to get on and off at first until you get them broken in and figure out how to do it right. The new alphas and ultras have a new inside material which will make it much easier t get into both of them, even without them being wet i have heard. The Alphas are front lace up so they will be easier to get into, but will not provide quite as much support or hold. Both are good bindings and i think you would be happy with either one. _________________ www.krookedminds.com

| I'd go with the Ultras. I just got a couple pairs of 03s and I can get into them as well as out without water or lube. You just gotta know how to work your foot in and pull it out. Sick binding - super simple, great hold and support, super comfy. |

| I had the XL 03 Ultras last year and could only get into them after exreme pain and massive amounts of lube. My foot is only a size 11, so I didn't go too small with them. I ended up selling them on eBay. I'm looking into getting a pair of Alphas of Transits once the prices go down in a month or two. |

The Ultras are nice I rode them last year. At the end of the season I got a foot out on a fall and twisted my ankle. I picked up a set of Transits this year when they came out and like them muck better. _________________ 03 Moomba Mobius LSV

I think that the ultras are easy to get into once broken in and if you use some boot goo _________________ I'm telling you its jobs,

Ultra's are a very tight fitting binding. There great if you give them a chance to break in. Your going to get an awesome fit out of the Alfa's because of the front lases. The alfa's are a bit stiffer than the ultra's too. _________________ www.bsboardshop.com

the old ultras are really difficult to get in and out of. The new '04s have that neoprene lined inside. Supposedly you can get in dry with no lube.
I am planning on sticking with the Ultras. |
