wot, is boating standard for Wide Open Throttle.
I thought the English could speak English?
I'd suggest you run with the weight in the bow ans ski locker. _________________ I'm hung like Einstein,

not to rag on you but it hurts my brain to read that message. I think what you mean is:
Hi. Guys with 130hp I/Os, what kind and how much weight do you use in your boat, and where do you distribute it? Also what size prop do you use? Any info would be great.
Ok, now to answer your question. I/Os vary a lot in hull shape so you'll just have to experiment with places to put your weight. As far as amount, it depends on how low your boat sits in the water and how well your engine does with the extra weight. You could put as much as you wanted as long as it's not at risk of taking on water and you can still get to wakeboarding speeds on plane. I would start out with 500-1000 lbs and go up to 2000 if your wake still isn't the right size/shape. I don't know about I/O props. |

I use women in bikinis and coolers of beer for ballast. And i use the prop that came with the boat because it is already paid for. _________________ "Do not be alarmed, Continue swimming Naked!" - Chief Wiggum |

| That's pretty similar to my set up (boat). I've tried every possible combination. It seems to work best with 750# in the very middle of the boat and about 5 or 6 people. I use to put about 300# in the bow and all it did was make the boat harder to steer, it didn't make the wake any better. Too much weight in those type of boats makes the boat drive like s**t. |

450lbs. in the ski locker and 6-7 people in the boat and I can't believe how good the wake gets. Really. _________________ Spread the stoke. |

no need to rag on the spelling (or lack there of) folks
2000lbs????? in a 130 i/o - i donno but thats seems nearly impossible.
I have a 130hp i/o searay and we went with one sack in the bow and the most I ever had was 6 people. And that took a good little while to get on plane... _________________ www.highrollerwakeboarding.com |

2 600# sacs. straight up the middle of the boat one behind the other, best wake I could find in my boat. Just be careful of the bow diving under water when you hit wake at fairly low speeds. Oh and make sure the bilge is working well. _________________ I once saw a fork lift pick up a pallet of forks, it was way too literal for me. |
