What kind of spark plugs should i put in my 97 Four Winns? It is a 5.7L V8
Can i buy them at any auto parts store? I am assuming i can just get standard plugs from any store. I don't suppose i can get a fuel filter at the same time? do they need a special filter?

Here's the deal, we were idleing in gear and the boat stalled, it would not restart. After 1 hour we tried again and it still wouldn't start. 1 more hour later it started fine in the drivway. This has never happened before and we have had the boat since new. She has 500 hours on her. Thanks

Brent

NAPA has a special marine catalog. Contact any NAPA and they can cross reference your motor. You need the make, year, model, and serial number from the motor, not the boat. NAPA cannot reference a 4Winns.

I suggest platinum sparkplugs. You also probably should consider a carb rebuild for the cleaning value alone.

I see you are in Battle Creek. I am running the West MI INT for the year. Please consider riding with us. www.intleague.com

If you need more help with getting parts, contact me at rider@boarditup.com. I have the marine catalog.

Look on the flame arrestor cover. It tells you what plugs the gap and all the other goodies you need to know.
