I like wood. I don't like the feel of slicks when you boardslide/ noseslide/ tailslide.

wood, id rather push fast than go slow and slide fast. ur boards gonna get worn down anyway too. slicks can cost more sometimes yet might last longer

I didn't even know they still made slicks... Those boards are just way too heavy, and they might last longer but it won't be much use once if gets all soft and mushy. Wood is the only way to go..

I have a bunch of friends that say slicks are better cuz they can slide faster/farther, but it's kind of ironic cuz they suck and can't boardslide. I suck too but I atleast know which to like cuz I can boardslide low rails and junk.

wakeboarder_360, a slick deck has like a layer of plastic on the bottom so that it slides faster and doesn't wear out as fast.

they used to call them everslick's. I had one of the original santa cruz everslick's. They were great for curb skating Laughing . We used to take the plastic mat things they had on the counter at taco bell and glue them to our boards Laughing you do dumb things when your young and bored

wakeboarder_360, no, slick decks are wood on top with a plastic bottom. lib techs were solid fiberglass if i recall correctly, it has been awhile since i have seen either one.

i have a lib tech sitting in my room...never use it though...been through 4 wood decks since ive used the lib. it just doesnt work for my riding style. if you ride at a really fast pace, lib techs arent for you. too much effort to get good pop.
