Umm, I'm pretty sure nobody loves 'em. But anybody who's tried a flip trick of any kind knows the shinner well. It's an easy way to pick out who actually skates & who just holds a board & sports Circa gear.

yeah def need to wear pants. not only do they cover the shins but they also cover the ankles. it sucks to get hit in the ankles.

I don't get hit in the ankles, I just roll 'em. I'll take a shinner too rather than be sweltering. You're bound to get hurt skating, you might as well be comfortable.

I don't usually get hit in the shins/ankles. I usually wear shorts too.The problem I've had a lot lately is rolling ankles and that REALLY sucks.

You know what hurts worse? Getting credit carded!!!! For those of you who don't know what that is, it's when the board is "standing" completly vertical while your in the air and your nuts get "swiped" by the board. only one word can describe this horrific event.... PAINFUL!!!!... So remember be safe and wear a cup! lol

Wear a cup? No thanks, I don't take shots to the jewels THAT often.

My buddies refer to credit carding/ATM'ing as getting split by a rail, landing on your board like that is referred to as getting popsicled.
