Just doesn't seem to be the same excitement that last year had. I remember seeing information on WSSR all over the place last year. Did the BV rangers put an everlasting damper on the event? I still had a great time last year. Let's hear who's down and which camp ground at San Antonio is going to be the spot! Let's generate some excitement here.

| I'll be there May 22-23. I know a few people from down South who are coming as well as the new Malibu dealer in Paso Robles is gonna be there rolling boats. I think there will be a few people from the Cal Poly Wakeboard Club as well. I'm looking foward to it despite having school work like a mo-fo. In regards to camping I'm a fan of the South Shore but that's just cuz it's out of the wind a little more. They're both good. WSSR to the house!!!!

No one has established where to stay... Do a google search and you can find the campsite info.

| I'm gonna call South Shore campground today & see if they will set us aside a corner of the campground. Hopefully that way everyone can call up and reserve sites near each other in the same loop etc. I'm thinking they will want me to pay for all the sites and if I get some response I have no problem doing that as long as everyone comes through. It would be cool if we could get it located around one specific area, easier to party/chill, i think the "J' loop is where I'll shoot for. It's detached and nicely separated.

Hey you guys, I found some info. here's how it goes. Basically if we want to reserve an area we have to pay for it in advance. It's $22/night per campsite and each campsite allows two cars, unfortunately if the cars are from different address' then each one has to pay $22. this can be avoided if everyone gets an "address buddy" before hand then additional cars are like $12 or something(Cheat wherever possible). Basically there is this one corner of the campsite area "J" that has 13 sites that are well away from everyone else, has a fire pit & a large outdoor bbq. it is the perfect area, no one to bother and no one to bother us!! Area "K" has 21 sites but not the bbq. If we book 10 or more we get $2 off each one. I said earlier that i'd reserve them all, but I would have a real hard time trying to afford that. I could give it a go but would love it if someone else wanted to help out or somehow make it easier on my broke ass. I also got a map of the campgrounds faxed to me & will scan it and put it up tomorrow evening(I have 2 midterms tomorrow). PM back if you have any questions. Lets get on it so we can be sure to reserve some spots & not piss off the blue hairs WSSR!!!

The boats will be safe but unless people are chilling near the waters edge not that close. Forget organization it's time to free for all. South Shore/North Shore, as long as we meet where there is no shore. (That's where the blue is)

I hear you Nor Cal.........last year these wakeboard sites were blown up with stoke about WSSR. This year seems out of it. Maybe the date killed it some. Some people can't go out of town the weekend before their big Memorial trip.

I think for my group since WSSR is almost 2.5 miles from the lake when their are much better and more central located areas on the lake. We will not be their this year. We need to find a spot where everyone can join in the fun weather they come by boat or camp right their with the group. I know Im not running this event BUT mabey you should have asked a local about the lake and camping for large party groups. Hope you all that attend the event have a GREAT weekend

I understand that but with so many campgrounds on the water yet why so far. And if you say so people wont be botherd by the the partying that will be going on. You could have had all of A loop on north shore set for WSSR. I have been to many large groups that have reserved all of A loop so the people could keep their boats in the water at their camp site. Nice beaches for the kids to swim and beach parties at night. You also could have reserved Mc springs it is all set up for large parties and I have even seen where they have live bands. It seems like where the spot was picked it is like they are trying to hide from the rangers and the noise. Well I have camped in that area before and the sound carries. It is in the back side of a draw and the sound will carry very far. By the way what are they trying to HIDE from? Wakeboarding is a great sport for the fimilies and single people of all ages lets not try to hide. Lets bring it out in the open and show the everyone its a great sport and lifestyle

If you look back I have been talking about this a long time ago but no one would listen check wakeworld and the outher sites. I started on Dec 10 2003 talking about places at San Antonio to camp and giving info on the lake. I have only been boarding for about 3 years now but it is a lifestyle now. It seems I cant get enough. I have been out of the water for about 2 months now due to a shoulder injury but still take my crew out almost every weekend at the delta. San Antonio has been my home lake since 1968 till about 4 years ago that is what you call a local. I now call the delta my home lake but if I need info their I go to a real local someone that has grown up in the area it saves a lot of time.
