| Anyone have any spine pics? I was BSing with another poster via PM about it and realized I didn't have any pics to showhim exactly what I was talking about....getting 2 boats side by side and riding the shoulder high spine created by the outside of the 2 wakes colliding. Great fun! So anyway - if you have any pics, please share!

jt09, i just hit one last week, but no one was rollin film!! we were in jades boat when greg showed up in his GG ssv, i waved him over and blam, big spine!
first time i ever hit one, it's almost like a d-up the way it tosses you up there....gonna be addicting.
p.s. didn't the cali boys have a vid of them riding a spine?? i remember seeing the video, but not sure who or where it was from.

Jeffro, the guy who was there filming for Austinights has video, but I checked his site (www.austinights.tv) and couldn't find it - his archives button didn't seem to work. I don't know if there was any spine footage on the piece he put together (where I sound like a jackass in the interview).
I wish I had his email so I could ask him for the raw footage and someone could edit out that part.
K-Dub may know if Bobby or Schmaltz got any of that on their vid.

| Nice work Dpierce37. That is cool, but nothing like what we had going on the Perd and Lake Austin during Waketoberfest. Justin was flat killing the spine that weekend - pulling tantrums back onto his own side, backrolls to revert over the spine. It would be awesome to watch a sick wakeskater ride on that - the mini ramp in front of the spine would be great to play in and the spine itself is like wall riding.

I think in Running with Scissors, Shane is ripping up a spine. Clearing 4 wakes, lip slides, etc, etc.

| jt09, I don't know if any of that footage that we shot on the Perd that day came out very well. It's been a long time since I have seen that tape. I'll have to ask Bobby if he still has any of it laying around for you. I know I have the pic. of me riding next to that MONSTER spine the day of waketoberfest that you took....

I've rode the spine before, some crazy stuff. We are usually always all in the same boat so it rarely ever happens.
You know it's hard keeping up with you west coast guys out here in the east but we try!

| Do the wake sizes have to be the same or close from both boats?

| churchy, yeah...pretty much the same size, and the boats need to be going the same speed. In the pic that I posted we had a fully weighed Super Air, and a fully weighed X-2, both with about 8 people on each. The wake behind both boats was very large and solid that day.

| I was hoping the wakes didn't have to be very closely matched. Most of my friends aren't throwing as big of a wake, but I will find someone... Thanks.

churchy, we just hit another one last night....and in 3 different boats....
to me i couldn't really tell too much difference between the 2 spines. One set was setup with my 21i and an older x-star. The next set was done with a 22v and my 21i. But i'm sure, like K-dub says, the more matched the wakes are and the larger they are, the better the spine will be!
another thing we sorta figured out was, longer ropes help, and if you don't have that, try to slow down a few mph. like 21 instead of 23.5 or so.

3 boats = 2 spines = half pipe?

| I watched Shaun Murray ride a few years back & he was killing it off the spine, nose grabbed mobes & whirly's it was crazy. Not to mention the wake-to-other wake 313. I think like 4 people $#!T themselves in that boat! It's fun stuff, just like the Triple up whip. Now who has a good shot of someone going huge off one of them?
