|
|
Has anyone put in custom ballast bags into the back compartmetns of their '03 - '04 X Star? I am trying to figure out the dimensions of the bags that I want to order and wanted to know if anyone else has experience with whether they should be a little over sized... a little undersized... etc. or other problems that I should be aware of. thanks.

| That's a cool site....why didn't I think of that? Hey, let me know how they work out...I've blown a few sacks out and am looking for something more solid.

| I put some of their custom sacs in my SSV. Made my own Gravity Games Sacs. I made mine pretty much the size of the compartment at the largest points. They have worked out well. I've got some pictures of them filled. I'll try to get them posted if you think it would help. Let me know.

| D. David, actually pics would be good...I'm looking to upgrade soon. What were your exact measurements? How would you rate the quality of the sacs?

jflock2 When we took the pictures we were in a hurry to get out and the sacs were alittle twisted not allowing to completely fill the compartments. But they will fill to the point they will lift the compartment covers. I'm going to post sizes and info on weighting SSV on another thread so as not to hijack this thread any further.

Those look great! I guess I will get out to my boat and get the measurements of my rear compartments today and order essentially bags that size. I will post when I get them installed and have given them a try. Thanks all for the info...
