i'm buying a board and bindings in about a week.

the decision is down to either:

O'brien Ambush with Base bindings OR
O'brien Rail with device binding

what's better? right now i think i want the Rail with the Device!

The RAIL is a 137 and the suggested weight is 140 - 180... does that mean someone over 180lbs can't use it? or what?

why have you narrowed it down to these two? just interested in what chareteristics made you decide. the weight is not really that big of an issue if you 190 or so im sure you can still ride it. unless your are 210 above or so. hope it all works out for you.

I am about 190 and I rode a belmont 134 for a season, The only thing I noticed was it was harder to get out of trouble on a shorter board. It was super easy to spin though Wink , The next year I got a belmont 140 and I did land more stuff consistantly. Since then I won't buy anything under 140. I even rode a 123 once and it was really fun, couldn't get much air though.

dmac, what narrowed it down was the simple fact that I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and obrien is the only company that sells boards around here... i was lucky enough to meet with the obrien rep and those are the 2 boards that are in my price range and they are pretty good boards aswell.

i think i'm going with the Rail with Device bindings we are going to order it today!
