Barewest Towers?

my dad is tottally against towers for some reason but if i can talk him into gettin a barewest fish & ski tower would it be a nice enough tower? this tower comes with pole holders which he'll really like. but i could also just get a Wake Design "wake cage" and just weld soem pole holders on it for a total of about 1,925=tower(1700)+rodholders(225). the barewest one would come out to 1,495 total. money is definately an issuse but would it be worth it to go the extra $500 for the wake cage?
