I ride behind a 98'. it needs more wait though, my brother runs about 600 in the back and 500 in the locker. the wake is real nice with 6 people in it, but with 2 it could def be bigger. these are nice boats _________________ http://www.integrity-wake.com

| The hull of the '96-'00 Sunsetter VLX is exactly the same as the 2003 Wakesetter VLX, so expect the same wake when the boats are weighted similarly. |

A buddy on my lake has a '99. He puts two full size sacs in the two back compartments and a sac in the ski locker. The wake is nice and pretty big, I like it, but the boat's handling suffers significantly IMO, and the motor seems pretty stressed. but with 1200-1400lbs, what boat doesn't. _________________ www.MidwestMilitia.net |

| I run my 2000 wakesetter VLX with 2 600's in the back compartments, a 500 against the back seat, MLS, a 500 in the walk through over the ski locker, and a 500 in the bow. we don't do this all the time. but it doesn't seem to stress the boat that much. |

3200 LBS!!!! Holy jesus!!! How many people do you have in the boat when you do this?
I run my 00 vlx with two 500's in the rear, the MLS, and 400 in the bow. I keep two empty 350's incase I have a light poeple load. |

I use 2 500 lbs fat sacks. one on each side of the motor with 4 people in boat and fill the mls in the ski locker and forget the wedge. thats the best trust me.

Skicrave, Actually the 96 - 98 sunsetter VLX has the sv23 hull (same as the 03 wakesetter VLX). In 99 the sunsetter VLX started using the diamond hull.
I have a 98 Sunsetter VLX and I put 600# on each side of the engine, 550# in the locker, and 600# in the bow. SWEET WAKE!! Might try another 600# against the rear seat this year. _________________ Greg |

Nope, it wasn't until 2001 that the Sunsetter VLX got the Diamond hull, and then in '02 it was renamed to the Sunscape 21 LSV to make the Sunscape line more congruent.
When the change occurred in 2001, the Wakesetter VLX remained the same, so it has always been on the SV23 hull. |

I've got a '99 VLX, 2 500# sacs in the rear, a 550 in the ski locker and depending on how many people are out with us for the day another 350-500 in the bow walkthrough area...
I don't have a wedge (yet)
With 4 people and all the sacs filled it throws a great wake... nice and rampy, not washed out at all and the acceleration is good (handling is a bit rough, but you're supposed to go straight, right?)

Skicrave, I guess that I could be wrong, but when I was shoping for my boat my local dealer and a few other people told me that 96-98 had the sv23 and starting in 99 they had the diamond hull. This was before you could get a wedge on the sv23 and I noticed a few 99's for sale with the wedge. I did'nt think they offered the wedge until "02" for the sv23.
Oh well, it would'nt be the first time I was wrong. I definately want to find out for sure though.
