| Since HL, LF, TrickBoardz and Phase 5 have started making wakesurf boards....How many of you have decided to try it this summer.. Has anyone bought one of these boards from any of the companies I listed? |

| I'd like to try it, but from what I can gather its not really meant for I/Os.....that sucks, but I'd rather keep my leggs I guess....looks kinda boring to me, I mean how long can you really stay up, a few seconds....I'm just curious.....I've never seen anyone stay up without the handle for long, meaning seconds..... |

you can stay up as long as you want. they had a sweet demo video at the boat show, not sure who it was but he was standing on the nose of a chase boat and acid dropped onto the wake and surfed it, pretty sick _________________ http://www.integrity-wake.com

| It's pretty fun. I dunno if I'll buy a wakesurf board but I might buy a new shortboard and use that. |

Nah I think I'm getting an I/O and wakesurfing would be suicide. Unless you never fall |

i did a few times last summer on a surfboard and thought it was a lot of fun, but it's fun like tubing is fun!!! i think its retarded people are trying to make a whole sport out of it. it's something to do when you're a little tired of wakeboarding but i heard something about a world championship for it?! what do yall think? _________________ Glass and Powder Boardshop

Wakesurfing is a blast! We've done it for about two seasons now, just on a regular surfboard. At the boat show, one of my crew, bought the HL Landlocked board. Wakesurfing is great to mix it up and is clutch when the lake is too rough to board. Like a wakeskate, everyone should have one in their toybox |

I want to try it, but like others have already said... not behind my I/O. So it will probably have to wait til I get a new boat. Hopefully soon! _________________ "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." - Benjamin Franklin

Not that it's a big deal but our group has been wake surfing with a real surfboard for years, (6+) I think.
Nothing beats it on a Saturday afternoon when the lake is nothing but chop.... People still pull up and ask what we are doing, how do we do it and just love to sit and watch us rip it up... round and round we go when we'll stop nobody knows....
I use a Shane Smith fish shape 6'9", he's a local shaper up at Hampton beach in NH. My woman loves it better than wakeboarding, she a low impact type rider...

I tired it once on a friend's long board but couldn't get the speed or wake shape right or something...so I just grabbed the rope and took my wakeboarding back it's roots. It was a blast nonetheless. _________________ JuSt RiDe |

Not that I'm complaining but my old boat produced almost Oceans like barrel's, I miss that beast....
It's fun and definitely worth a serious try. Spend the time to get the shape right, speed dialed and all that, it takes some playn' around with to get it exactly how you like it... Part of the fun is setting the weight up correctly and seeing what boat can through the best shaped wave....

I have been skim boarding behind my boat for years with a short rope. We made our own board that is pretty similar to the new hyperlite, it's a lot of fun. It has no fins on it so you can surface spin forever. I recommend it highly, the falls don't hurt ever, but you get some weird looks from other boats. _________________ B-town crew |

Wakeboarding? That’s just something to do when your little tired of running some passes in the slalom course or when the waters real crap. ( H'mm Sound familiar!)

Done it now for a few seasons on a Harbour 8' board I was given and repaired - lots of fun. Definitely give it a try, but be careful of exhaust fumes for rear passengers "beefing" up the wake and the surfer. Definitely a nice distraction when we're pretty spent from boarding and need a little comic relief from new surfers trying it for the first time. _________________ Boat: 2000 Pro Air Nautique
