last summer i tried my first s bend and i ate it horribly. my friends say i get the raley out but i seem to come into a front roll somehow. i have landed every other raley trick like 2-4th try. i got the hoochie 313 2nd try, but no matter how many times i try the sbend i can't get it. i can't even do it on the trampoline. any ideas??????

my friend learned them by doing them on a wakeskate and letting the board fly off.

After about 4 try he tried it with the board and landed it first try!!!

wait that doesn't help does it.

Stay committed. I'm sure you already know this, looking at your list of tricks you have dialed, but don't let off your edge at all. The last five feet of your cut are the most important. Stay on edge. If you let off, this is what makes people do huge fronts when they are trying to do S-Bends. Good luck. Oh, and wait to pull the board back under you until you see the water again. Very painful to land on the back of your head/neck.

hoochie 313 is not as hard as it seems. all raley tricks are much easier than they look, but for some reason sbend is one i can not get. i have been told not to let off my edge, but i don't think that's what is wrong, i should know better than that. all raleys should not let off edge. i just think the sbend is the most amazing looking trick, and i HAVE to learn how to do it no matter how many times i kill myself trying.

an sbend is just as easy if you dont puss out. its all commitment. Stay on your edge all the way just like a raley and alow your body to flatten out. Once you do that pretty much stick your face in your rear armpit and wait till you can spot your landing DONT PULL IN UNTIL THEN.

there is more to it than that. i am not pussing out, i guess if i saw myself or had someone that could watch me and tell me what i'm doing wrong. Cody are you an instructor for TSR? if so i will probably see you sometime in the near future.

I realy wanna try an S-bend this year. Definitely going to have to be a monster wake and I'm really going to have to be pumped to go for it...

I can do them on the trampoline, but I know the tension isnt nearly the same...

say ur coming in heel side with ur left arm closes to the wake,

u want to take an egressive edge. drop ur left shoulder. make sure u get ur chin under ur right arm pit. then stay like that untill u c the wake and then start to pull in, dont start pulling when ur lookin at the sky, wait till u c the wake, then pull in!

the reason you are doing a front flip instead of getting the raley extension is because you are letting off your edge just before the wake. i had the same problems my first few tries, but last time out i got the full rotation, but didn't quite get the board all the way back under.....it hurt quite a bit, but it was worth it
