first time slider builder/user

my friend's trying to talk me into building a slider. the lake we normaly ride at is a little less than 2 hrs away when towing a boat and doesnt a low sliders. its five feet deep at the spots we'd consider putting the slider. sliders are illegal at the lake so were thinking floating so we can move it. any advice plans etc.

is there any place for you to put a slider in a ditch or pond and then use a car to pull you??? that way you wouldnt have to drive 2 hours to use it

no i would have thought of that already. the nearest lake with good water is a little less than 2 hrs away.
